Welcome to Burton End Primary Academy
Burton End converted to Academy status in November 2014 and takes pupils from 3 to 11 years of age.
Burton End first opened in 1968 as a Community Primary School. We also have a well-staffed and well-equipped 52 place Nursery.
We are very proud of the improvements we have made as a school since becoming an academy in November 2014. We have recently embarked on the next stage of our journey as an academy by becoming part of the Unity Schools Partnership and are now working closely with other academies within the partnership. Our aim is to provide children with a curriculum that enthuses them and provides them with the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in today’s society.
I am delighted that the RESPECT principles of Respect, Empathy, Self-Aware, Passion, Excellence, Communication and Teamwork that Burton End pupils and staff work to exhibit, link so well with the Unity Schools Partnership core values of responsibility, resilience, courage, wisdom, respect, justice, compassion, hope and integrity.
The academy grounds are extensive and include two separate playgrounds, a large sports field, a wild-life pond, a large climbing frame, fruit trees and a woodland area. The building itself consists of 14 large spacious classrooms, two halls, a dedicated computing suite, various small group teaching spaces and a well- stocked library.
We warmly invite you to come and visit us here at Burton End to see our school and meet our delightful children.
